Hi 5th Grade!
Today, we spent the morning discussing how to write an effective paragraph. Here is a great page from wikipedia that describes the method taught today in class.
Most of us, are not born as great writers. But, my belief is that writing is a LEARNED skill. So, like throwing and catching a ball, learning how to dance or hitting a golf ball long and straight, instruction, practice and repetition are necessary to improve.
