Reminder: Lent Agreements

Hi 5th Grade,
What a great week!  I've seen a huge turnaround in your behavior in class and I just wanted to officially say THANK YOU!!!  We have had a great week of learning and I am proud of you all.  Just a reminder to consider sharing your Lent agreements with your families and having one or both of your parents sign it.  Lent is a wonderful reflective season to medidate and remember Christ's sacrifice on the cross.  Have a great weekend!

Wycliffe Bible Translators Link and Video

Today in class we talked about Wycliffe Bible Translators.  If you feel like you have the God-given gift of language, perhaps you might want to love God one day by translating the Bible to unreached people in the remotest parts of the world.  As I explained in class, a guy from Wycliffe came to the school I was teaching at, in Toronto, and did a langugage demonstration.  What an amazing talent used for the gospel!

Penderwick Bonus Assignment

To celebrate the upcoming milestone of 10,000 pageviews of our blog, I am posting a Penderwicks bonus assignment.  This assignment will be due the day of our Penderwicks Unit Test and be worth a 2% bonus on the test - provided it is done well. 

Create a "decorated" poster that lists all the rules, regulations and Codes of Conudct of the Penderwick sisters. 

"decorated" simply means you have put thought into the posters presentation and it is believable that this would be posted in one of the girl's rooms or available for reference at a MOPS or MOOPS meeting!
