Hi 5th grade,
Some wonderful reflections re: this morning's chapel presentation! Please comment on as many of your classmate's reflections as you can. See you tomorrow.
Madison P
I am also like the seed in the good soil because sometimes I grow like crazy but then I get distracted by other things.
Rachel
I think that I am most like the seed in the rocky ground. I come to God's word quickly, but I don't have any "roots" so I wither away.
Alexis
I am like the seed planted in the shallow soil. I have great opportunities, and I take them, but I don't follow through.
Zac B
I am like the seed on the rocky path. I sometimes stumble with God and my life.
Noah
I'm like the seed that grows up really fast, but I went back down. I get distracted with sports, but know I'm recovering. My Dad is like the seed in the rich soil. He preaches every Sunday to the needy. When they need help, he's there.
Katelyn
I am most like the seed in the shallow soil. I don't stay with that that leads to God.
Cody
My brother Richie is an evil seed and a kid that makes bad choices with his life.
Zach J
I am like the seed in the vines. I get distracted by chores and my games.
Josh V
I am the seed in the shallow soil. My Dad is in the soil of goodness.
Madison W
I think I am like the seed on shallow soil. When I have a good day and I have been with God, I feel joyful and the seed in my heart springs up. When I have bad days and I am not in contact with God, I feel lonely and mad and the seed in my heart withers.
Michael
The path and the birds came and ate it up. Though seeing, they do not see. They hear but they do not hear or understand.
Addison
I think I'm like the seed that at first sprouts but then dies because when I learn about God I love it. Then, I get distracted and forget about it.
Anna
I am like the seed of thorns because I sin and God still forgives me.
Sam
I am like the one that fell in thorns because when I struggle I just give up.
Jane
I think I am most like the seed that sprouted up immediately but was scorched by the sun and withered. Sometimes in my life I try to be more like God and listen to him and I sprout up like a seed. But sometimes, I will get distracted mostly by getting good grades in school and basing my life on that and I wither and die.
JT
In the parable of the sower, I am like the seed that fell on the thorns.
i like Noah's cause it is about his father being a pastor.
ReplyDeletei also like Jane's
ReplyDeleteI like Jane's response because it made me realize that I do the same thing sometimes. Sometimes when other people tell about their weakness I am reminded that I do the same thing.
DeleteAddie, what do you like about Jane's response?
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing you all on the blog tonight!
ReplyDeleteI like Noah's responce since I think we are all in the rocky soil, which in conclusion leads to me liking everybody's exellent responces.
ReplyDeleteI disagree, I think I could have made my own better- Madi Pie

ReplyDeleteHey everyone...some great comments...keep it up! It's hard to not to feel guilty when reading a parable like this...the thing to remember is that it is God doing the work...our job is to simply be open to His word. Madison P, when leaving a comment, choose,Name/URL and then put the nickname you want...if you can't figure it out, I'll show you tomorrow.

ReplyDeleteI think Madison's reminds me of myself. We both need to work on not getting distracted by getting good grades in school and other stuff.
ReplyDeleteI also think that Addison is like me. We both love God and listen to him, but when we get distracted we don't pay attention to him.Great job Addison!
