How to create an mp3 file in audacity

Thank you all for trying tonight to get this to work on your home computers.

Here are the instructions.

1.  Go to this link:

http://www.gaclrecords.org.uk/audacity.html

2.  Press " LAME v3.99.3 installer for MP3 encoding"

3.  Install the program.

4.  Then, in AUDACITY, when you are ready to save your project as an mp3, you go to File, Export...

5.  Choose a location to save, create a file name and then under "Save as type:" choose MP3

6.  That's it.

NOTE:  You don't need to create an mp3 file until the end (unless you want to be sharing your mp3 file with other members of your group).  But, making your project into a mp3 is very important because it is a format that can be shared with others.
